The story begins in 2013 when long time friends Mijan Patterson and Livia Maiorana decided that their goal of starting a wine label would require experience working in the best wineries around the world. Thus began a global expedition stopping in California, Italy, France and British Columbia, where small producers, large producers and every size in between gave insight into the challenges and rewards of making wine reflective of origin. South by South West was founded in 2016 around the goal of expressing the wine growing regions of the south west corner of Australia.
