About Evans & Tate

John Evans and John Tate first started Evans & Tate by planting vines in the Swan Valley in 1971. Three years later in 1974, they purchased land and planted a vineyard in Wilyabrup Margaret River. Senior Wine Maker Matt Byrne has been guiding Evans & Tate wine making decision since 2001. Feleasha Prendergast is the future of wine making at Evans & Tate, finding her home at Evans & Tate after an extension tour of wine making right around the world.

In 2012, Evans & Tate was added to the Fogarty Wine Group (FWG) portfolio of wineries which includes Millbrook Estate (Perth Hills), Deep Woods Estate (Margaret River) and Smithbrook Estate (Pemberton).

The cellar door is well worth a visit. A spacious modern tasting room offers visitors both indoor and outdoor tasting options. Cheese platters are available to compliment your tasting experience for an additional fee.
